Offered here is one of the most reliable and smooth running projectors out there. This one is known for its smooth gentle handling of even partially shrunken prints. It is intended for serious application for those that want high light output with a steady sharp image on screen: ELMO LX - 1100. This ELMO Xenon-arc Lamp Sound projector is a stationary-type high performance sound projector equipped to handle both a 1000 watt Xenon lamp (with internal power supply) as a light source and powerful 50 watt amplifier for both magnetic and optical playback. The LX-1100 offers such superb features as outstanding screen brightness throughout its lamp's long service life and excellent sound performance in terms of frequency response, distortion, S/N ratio and so forth. The operation is as simple as the operation of the conventional projectors and the Xenon-arc lamp ON/OFF can be done by just simple switching. Only one different point in operation is that the Xenon-arc lamp must be turned on before starting to run the film. Thanks to the safety shutter interlocked with the film transportation and the specially designed reflector incorporated into the lamp system, the film will never get damaged by heat.

The asking price is $5000. which is quite a deal considering that it originally sold for nearly 4 times that amount in the nineties, plus the thousand or more dollars for perfect silent movies. If you think that's a bit pricey, consider this; it is in top running condition having just been fully tuned and inspected. (Expect no nasty surprises as this is not a worn defective "fixer-upper"). Now, about shipping: You can either come pick it up near Baltimore, MD. Another option is to have it shipped by freight carrier.
